Law Clerk

Belen Hernandez is a second-year law student at the Golden Gate University School of Law. She attended the University of California, Riverside for her undergraduate studies. Belen received her Bachelors Degree in Political Science with a minor in Chicano Studies. She was born and raised in Orange County, California. Prior to law school, Belen worked in immigration and criminal law where she developed a deep interest in public service, community empowerment, and providing legal assistance to those who need it. Specifically, she believes everyone deserves the right to zealous representation. Employment law is an area of law that she enjoys because she’s able to assist clients who are unaware of their rights and in the process, she’s able to advocate for clients by combating bias, abuse, unlawful practices and unethical work practices. As the oldest of six, Belen loves to spend time with her family, two dogs, hiking, social dancing, and trying new restaurants/coffee shops.
