Legal Assistant

Nicolette “Nica” Ronas is a dedicated Legal Assistant at Rissell Law, APC. In this role, Nica brings over eight years of diverse professional experience to the Firm, including in the legal, mortgage, and real estate industries. Nica earned her Bachelor of Arts in Consular and Diplomatic Affairs, with a minor in Mandarin Chinese in 2016 from De La Salle – College of St. Benilde. Building on her academic foundation, she then earned an Associate of Arts in Political Science, with a minor in Social and Behavioral Science in 2020 from Cerritos College. Fluent in both English and Tagalog, Nica utilizes her cross-cultural communication skills to effectively connect with and advocate for the Firm’s diverse clientele.

In her role, Nica provides essential support to the firm’s principal attorney by managing active litigation matters, marketing, client care, drafting legal documents, and assisting with the intake process. As one of the Firm’s first points of contact for prospective clients, she focuses on guiding them through the onboarding process with empathy, clarity, and professionalism. Nica is passionate about the work that the Firm does, as she herself is a committed advocate for equality. Nica is an advocate for the equal rights of individuals in the LGBTQ+ community, immigrants, and women. Outside of the office, she enjoys expressing her creative side as a drummer in a band, playing a mix of classic rock, metal, and rhythm and soul.
